Father's Day

Hello all in stamping land.  I hope everyone had a good Father's Day.  We made the most of ours and Chris loved the gifts he received.

I came across another Stampin' Up! Demonstrator from the U.S. by the name of Michelle Zindorf and if you think you've seen some nice brayered and/or distressed creations before, wait until you see her work. WOW!!! It's hard to describe how talented she is.  Her understanding of light and depth is incredible.  So I just had to try a card myself.  I based my card off of one of her designs and made some changes.  Chris loved it.

I stamped the motorcyle using Versamark pad first and then stamping on my Black Ink pad and then onto my paper.  I coloured the bike in with my Stampin' Write Markers, then with a Versarmarker and heat set once again.  I covered with Clear EP and heat set.  I then brayered my grass with Certainly Celery ink, and the sky with Apricot Appeal and Tangerine Tango and Summer Sun. I sponged black ink around the edges for a bit more dramatic effect.

I layered this onto Tangerine Tango cardstock which I then layered on Basic Black.  I added brads to the side of the black and then layered onto my Apricot Appeal cardfront.  I finished the card by stamping the words Because I Care in Basic Brown ink.

Thanks for looking.
Margaret

Sweet Mojo

Saturday I had a Mommy and Me class and my dear friend Angela attended.  After the class I was showing her some things in my stamp room and a couple cards I had created last week.  She immediately picked up on the fact that one of the cards was created using the Mojo Monday sketch and she reminded me that I needed to post by today.  So here I am getting it up on my blog.

If you are not familiar with the cardstock colours, that is because they are the new upcoming In Colours.  I used Peach Parfait for my card base.  Then I punched a strip of Concord Crush using the Scallop Trim edge punch.  Over this I added Pear Pizzaz which I ran through the Big Shot with a texture plate.

I stamped the main flower from the new upcoming hostess set Because I Care using Concord Crush and Pear Pizzaz markers.  The image is stamped on Shimmery White cardstock and layered on Concord Crush cardstock.

I punched out a bit of Peach Parfait with the Modern Label punch and cut it in half.  I placed these just under my image.  Then I stamped two flowers and punched them out using the Itty Bitty flower punch from the Summer Mini and layered over the tabs.

Finally, I stamped my sentiment on Shimmery White, added a couple more small flowers and punched out with the 1 3/8" circle punch and layered on a Scallop Circle of Peach Parfait which I popped up.

Thanks for stopping by.
Margaret :)
