Butterfly Waterfall
August's Stampers 8 club get together we focused on Waterfall cards. We created two of them and today's post is one of those cards.
I remember the first time I sat down to make one of these. I felt so intimidated and thought it was going to be so difficult. It turned out to be so simple, yet the finished effect is such a WOW.
I won't go into many details on how to make the card as you can easily jump over to Splitcoaststampers for the tutorial.
The only change I made was to the size of my card base and the size of the large piece of Very Vanilla cardstock we stamped on. The card base was created as half a card originally with the vanilla being the part of the card that flaps open. I wasn't fond of this so I created the Marina Mist cardbase in standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (cut from 4 1/4 x 11" scored at 5 1/2") and the Vanilla cardstock that I have stamped all over measures 4" x 5 1/4".
For this card we used the new colour Daffodil Delight and two stamp sets. The brand new set called Butterfly Prints from the 2010-2011 IBC and the returning set Inspired by Nature.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Wow! I think I would be super intimidated to make this card. Great job.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I've never seen a card like this. It's awesome - and so beautiful! I will definitely be checking out the tutorial on splitcoast. Thanks for inspiring me AGAIN! xo
