This may not seem very relevant but I love taking photographs, so I signed up for a photography course and last night was the first class. I am so stoked. It was so much fun and I have already learned a lot. Who knows, I might be a pro by the time the course is over. LOL One reason for taking the class is so that I can take better pics of my 'artwork', whether it be my everyday cards, scrapbook pages or my wedding invitations.
Okay so now that I got that out of the way, here's the lowdown on todays card. This one is quite simple but I still like it. I know there is no colouring on this card but for those that like simple solid images, this ones for you.
I used Ruby Red for my base on this card and I trimmed about 3/4 - 1" off the side. I then took my True Friend stamp set and stamped the card front, including the exposed inside strip with my flower using Ruby Red ink. I then stamped my flower again in Ruby Red ink on my Vanilla CS and layered on a piece of Chocolate Chip CS. Since I didn't want my sentiment to be all one colour, I used markers to colour the wording. I then wrapped some 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon around my layer and applied it to the card front so that it slightly overlapped the cut off edge.
Very nice - love the colour combination and the tone-on-tone stamping. I always look foward to seeing what new things you've created.
