Well this is week 2 of the Chicks Inspiration Challenge and I couldn't miss the opportunity to play along.
I just got my beautiful little embosslits last week and decided this would be the perfect challenge to use them on for the first time.
My card base is Whisper White and I layered Pink Pirouette over it but not before running it through the Big Shot with one of my texture dies. I then layered some Riding Hood Red over that with some Bella Rose DP. For my third set of layers, I used Pink Pirouette and Whisper White, which I once again textured. I lightly sponged Pink Pirouette ink on the white to show off the texture. I tied a knot in my Kiwi Kiss striped grosgrain and placed over my bottom 2 layers.
For the stem I used Bella Rose DP with my Sweetest Stem embosslit and the flower is done with the Simple Flower Embosslit die in Riding Hood Red CS. I popped the flower up with dimensionals and place a pearl from the dollar store in the center. This card feels so fresh and bright to me I look forward to seeing spring flowers in my flower beds.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card! The colours, the layers, the embosslits (too cute! Might just have to get them now...). I checked out the challenge - and yours is by far the best from all the cards posted. Shhhh! :) Great job Margaret!
